AIDIS's president, Hisatoshi, and I are old friends. When he told me he was starting up a new company, I agreed to join him without hesitation. There are many more like me who did so. Hisatoshi's passion for games really shows, and it's contagious.

Working in HR, I spend my days hiring new staff, looking after schedules, and tweaking our personnel evaluation system. The company is still very young—sometimes I feel as if I was about to be swallowed up by a tsunami of work—but I enjoy every minute of it. The speed with which decisions are made at here is fast, as often is the case with smaller business ventures. But as time passes, I see how the company keeps growing, and how I'm also improving at my job. The satisfaction I get seeing our progress is enormous.

It may be just me, but it seems that our company president's charisma really does attract the best kind of people. He's very close with the staff, and listens to everyone's suggestions. You don't need to be a grizzled veteran to be given a voice in here. I want to see to it that we keep this comfortable environment, even as the company grows, and run lots of inclusive projects. We have this motto: "Bounce the ball back as soon as it's thrown." That's why I channel a lot of my energy into improving the work environment as I carry on with my usual daily tasks, avoiding time-consuming bureaucracy as much as possible.

I think it's a wholesome workplace where everyone, from industry vets to industry greenhorns, supports one another and brings out their full potential. Some new staff start out with no experience, but it doesn't take them long to learn the ropes and feel a true part of the company. I'm committed to supporting the development team any way I can, and everyone at AIDIS is keen to lend a hand to whoever might need it. Whether it's the dev team or us HR folk you'd like to join, do get in touch. You won't regret working at a company with a good vibe and a fast pace like this one!
